FEES System for Bethesda Regional Health Centre

July 15, 2026

Bethesda Foundation was proud to provide funding for a new FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) system at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. The donation covered the purchase of the complete system, including two endoscopes.

This system is recognized as a leading tool for diagnosing swallowing disorders, also known as dysphagia. Having access to this technology locally will reduce transportation costs, significantly enhance patient comfort, and enable timely, accurate treatment decisions. By bringing this advanced diagnostic tool closer to home, patients can receive the care they need without unnecessary delays.

Speech-Language Pathologist Camryn Turton and Manager of Rehabilitation Services Diane Reimer showed us the system at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre.
