Bethesda Foundation invests in mental health
July 26, 2021
There has been an increasing need for more mental health services and supports in our community for a long time, and in the past year the need has amplified even more. Mental and physical health are integrally linked, and thus healthcare supports are needed for both in order for communities, and the people in them, to thrive.
Garth Reimer, Chair of Bethesda Foundation, says “Eden has an excellent reputation, and large range of services in our community already. We are very pleased to provide a donation of $250,000 to Eden Health Care Services to assist them in bringing all of their services in our community to one location, plus have the capacity to increase the services they provide.”
Some of the services that Eden already provides are clinical mental health professionals, the Recovery of Hope program, the Segue Career Options program, housing supports and mental health supports for housing tenants, and a Wellness Library.
“We look forward to working together with Eden to expand and improve mental health services in our community, and to increase access to these kinds of services for everyone.” states Garth.
