Bethesda Foundation contributes $17,000 to dual credit HCA program

January 27, 2026

Bethesda Foundation is proud to announce a $17,000 donation in support of the new Health Care Aide program at Steinbach Regional Secondary School (SRSS). This innovative program, delivered in partnership with Red River College Polytechnic, allows Grade 12 students to earn both high school and post-secondary credits while working toward their Health Care Aide certification. By June, participating students will graduate with hands-on training and credentials that prepare them to enter the health-care workforce sooner.

This investment reflects Bethesda Foundation’s commitment to strengthening health care close to home by supporting education, workforce development, and long-term solutions to staffing shortages in our region. By helping students begin meaningful careers in health care right here in southeastern Manitoba, this program not only supports young people but also contributes to a stronger, more sustainable local health system for years to come.
