Welcome Christine Beaumont
April 21, 2021
Bethesda Foundation is very pleased to announce that Christine Beaumont has been elected to the board of directors. Christine has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years, and is a Certified Financial Planner with a specialized designation in strategic charitable gifting, the MFA-P™ designation as a Philanthropy Services Specialist.
Supporting local charities is important to Christine. “For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a desire to help people and contribute to causes or projects that are bigger than myself.” says Christine. “Community is important to me, and thus volunteering with charities and non-profits is part of who I am. I look forward to helping out in the field of enhancing healthcare services with Bethesda Foundation.”
Christine has held various volunteer positions over the years including President of Francofonds, a community foundation supporting francophone projects in Manitoba. She is currently the vice-president of the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce.
Linda Peters, Executive Director of Bethesda Foundation, comments “Our board regularly evaluates its composition to ensure it includes the appropriate skills, experience and perspective necessary to obtain our goal of continually improving healthcare services in our community. We know Christine’s passion and perspective will be a huge asset.”
Bethesda Foundation has initiated some large projects in the past number of years, building healthcare centres of excellence in our community. These projects include the CancerCare Centre, the Crisis Stabilization Unit, new Emergency Dept at our hospital, new Primary Care Centre, and Stonebridge Wellness Centre. Most recently they’ve partnered with HavenGroup, and are raising the funds needed for the community contribution in the expansion of the Rest Haven Nursing home.
