Tribute to Garth Reimer

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Garth Reimer, on August 27, 2023.

Garth modelled exceptional dedication and unwavering commitment to the Bethesda Foundation. Over the course of an extraordinary 32-year tenure, with an astounding 26 of those years served as Chair of the Board, Garth demonstrated unparalleled leadership and a steadfast passion for enhancing healthcare services in Steinbach.

Under his guidance, the Bethesda Foundation has achieved remarkable milestones, including the establishment of a new CancerCare Center, a Crisis Stabilization Unit, the expansion of the Emergency Department at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, a new Primary Care Centre and a significant expansion at Rest Haven Personal Care Home.

Garth’s visionary leadership has left an indelible mark on our organization, touching countless lives within our community. We are forever grateful for his selfless dedication, and the countless hours he devoted to the betterment of healthcare in Steinbach. Garth’s legacy will continue to inspire and guide us in our mission to provide exceptional care for years to come.
