New logo, new website, new location
September 10, 2018
There’s been a lot of “new” happening at Bethesda Foundation in the past few months. After many, many years it was time for a new and refreshed logo for the organization, a new website to better keep in touch with an evolving donor base, and a new office location to meet growing needs.
Executive Director, Linda Peters, notes “In 2018 Bethesda Foundation was inspired to come up with a new logo that would include visual elements that represent our organization. We included a modern form of the first aid cross, originally established in the 19th century and still internationally recognized today. We chose hues of blue, representative of water and inspired by the healing pools of Bethesda in Jerusalem. The centre of the cross represents a four-way intersection; a meeting place where community comes together.”
Work then began on a new website. Board member Keith Unger says, “It was important to us to honor those who started Bethesda Foundation many years ago, so we’ve included a lot of history on the new website about how and when it all began. It was also important to us to keep up with current trends and to focus on technology in order to be efficient and relevant today, and to communicate better with our community.” The new website can be found at BethesdaFoundation.ca.
On Sept. 1, 2018 Bethesda Foundation moved into a new office at the Stonebridge Wellness Centre at 380 Stonebridge Crossing, right across from the new Bethesda Primary Care Centre. Stonebridge Wellness Centre complements the Bethesda Primary Care Centre and offers various healthcare-related services for our community.
A Grand Opening of the Stonebridge Wellness Centre has been scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 11:30am-1pm. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:15pm. The Bethesda Foundation invites the community to participate in the event.
