While last year was a tremendous success we are hoping to make 2011 a record-breaking year with over 120 trees sponsored! The 2011 Gifts of Light event will be held on December 4. Our honorary tree lighter will be Maggie Smith, who served as an oncology nurse for many years at Bethesda Hospital and who has now partially retired. This year, sponsors have the choice of donating $500 for a regular tree or $1000 for a large tree. The two largest trees for $2500 each have already been spoken for. We thank the many individuals who have already sponsored a tree and encourage you to join them. Many of our sponsors dedicate the tree to the memory of a departed loved one. It is a most meaningful gesture and the donor is secure in the knowledge that his/her gift helps the Bethesda Foundation support health care in the Bethesda hospital service area.
